Briley took her first steps at 20 months old. She walked on Monday, April 26th for the very first time. We woke up that morning, I got her bathed, hair done, dressed and stood her up in our room. Jeff and I were playing with her and as she was standing there, she all the sudden walked from our bathroom door down the hall and around the corner were her VERY FIRST STEPS... We couldn't believe what we saw, it was absolutely amazing. We couldn't do anything, but just cry due to being soooo happy for her. In the month she's been walking, she's gone straight to running basically. (People are right when they say, once they start walking, it's over) boy is that true.
A few little things about her:
1. She loves to dance, she has learned how to turn on the alarm clock and will blast the music every morning and start dancing.
2. She is a gatherer of anything. She doesn't love playing with toys, but will grab as many things she can fit in her arms and carry them everywhere.
3. She loves to grab her drink and her blankey and cuddle with you all day long. (This is my all time favorite thing) :)
4. She will blow anybody kisses if she sees that you're leaving her
5. Her new favorite thing is if you start laughing at her or want to take a picture of her she'll put her finger up her nose and just have it stay like that for a bit. LOL LOL LOL
6. She loves her DADDY and will shout out his name all day long
7. She's the best sleeper. You lay her down in her crib for her nap or bedtime and she puts herself right to sleep.
8. She loves bathtime
9. She is still scooting as well as walking, depends on what she's doing.
10. She loves to bounce on the bed.
11. She loves taking everything out of purses or bags under cabinets in drawers, etc
12. She is signing the words: more, please, milk, drink, thank you, eat, all done and we're working on wait right now. Amazing how fast they pick up on signing.
13. She's not one who will just watch cartoons or tv, it's not her favorite thing. She'd prefer to play or be doing something else.
14. She LOVES being outside. She gets mad when it's time to go inside.
15. She loves to give kisses.
16. Her eating habits are getting better. She loves brown rice, her fruits and some veggies and loves eating all kinds of meat. She will not eat green beans, peas.
17. She loves to bother my brothers while they're just chilling in their rooms.
18. She's almost figured out how to turn the knob to open the door.
19. She has figured out how to turn the bath water on and off. (Have to be careful with this one).
20. She absolutely loves playing with her dolls. She calls all of them baby. :) She has a favorite stuffed animal that's a cat that she named Kiki and that is her all time favorite thing.
Here's 20 of the top things that she is doing right now. Pretty incredible how quickly they pick up stuff and learn new things. She honestly amazes me how intelligent she is for being almost 21 months old. She is the best little girl in the world.
My goal is to be better at blogging about the little things in life that mean the world to me. I wish I would've been better about keeping all the dates of the stuff she did throughout the first two years of her life. I will be better with our next one and continue being better with Briley's progress as well.
Briley is our pride and joy. She keeps us on our toes and keeps us laughing daily. She has the funnest little personality. She has blue eyes that light up my life and her smile goes on for miles. Thanks for being all mine Bri. You mean the world to me. I'm so happy for you and I look forward to watching you grow and learn many more new things. I'm grateful to be your mommy.
Thanks for being my sweet daughter!
I love you sweetheart

Happy 7th Anniversary!
Man it's been a heck of a long time since I've blogged, so yes all of you can say you're the worst blogger in the world, but that I already know. LOL
I wanted to take a minute and tell my wonderful husband of 7 years Happy Anniversary. Jeff and I have known each other for 16 years this year and it was love at first sight. We have been good friends since day one and it turned into wanting to be together forever. I'm very grateful for Jeff and all that he does. He makes me a better person each and every day. He has so many ambitions and goals and that helps keep us on the right track. I'm thankful for his hard work at his job to help provide for our little family. There's nothing he won't do. He is my pride and joy. There's honestly not a man in this world as great as he is in my opinion. He is the most loving person in the world (Although he doesn't always show affection very well) he is the best father and husband that I could've ever asked for. It's been the best 7 years of my life. It's going be so dang fast, I can't believe we're closer to 10 years than 5 years. WOW, time flies by when life is good.
Jeff,
Thanks for being the love of my life. You are what I live for. You make me want to be a better mom and wife every day due to the wonderful example that you are to me. Thanks for being the best daddy that Briley could ask for. You are her favorite. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of you cuddling, playing, wrestling, etc. Thanks for giving me the world. You've always been there for me. I'm grateful that I get you for Eternity. You are my pride and joy and without you, I'd be nothing. I look forward to many more years with you.
Thanks again for being mine. I love you so much.
Happy 7 years Jeff and I look forward to many more.

Briley's Birthday Party!
I am finally able to post pictures from Briley's first birthday party. All of her pictures were on my mom's camera and I was able to get them uploaded. WOO HOO
On September 4, 2008 at 5:35pm weighing 8 lbs 9 ounces and 21 1/2 inches long you were born C-Section to your lovely parents at that new IMC Hospital. I remember seeing your beautiful face for that very first time and wanting nothing more then to hold you, but being so numb I wasn't able to hold you for awhile. You were the most perfect little angel and what was even better is that you were all mine. How blessed we are to have you Briley Paige. You have grown up to be 14 months already and I think to myself, where in the world has the time gone? You are so well behaved (always have been). I couldn't ask for a more perfect little baby. You're very unique in every way. You have the sweetest personality and are learning more and more every single day. You are a scooter rather then a crawler you decided that you would scoot on your bumn instead to get around (just like your mommy did) :) You love all of your toys, but most of all you love your little doll and blankey. You have 5 teeth (two on top and three on bottom) and your sixth tooth is coming in. I absolutely love the gap between your two top teeth. You love to play peek-a-boo and patty cake especially, but you love all of the little rhyming songs and you calm right down when I sing I am a Child of God to you. You love to sit on the countertop playing in the water while mommy gets ready for the day. You love anybody's keys, glasses and pulling somebody's hair. You love to open and shut doors. You love to scoot into a closet and just play with whatever's in there. You love to be in the salon with mommy while she's working. You hate having bows or headbands in your hair. I put them in they come right out. You're a gatherer. You scoot around gathering things in your hands and what you see you make fit between your two little hands and scoot around with EVERYTHING in your two little hands. You love your bedroom cubby where all of your books and toys are. You love your daddy. You have a very special bond with him. He is the light of my life and yours. You couldn't have chosen a better man to be your daddy. He loves you so much Bri. You are the light of his universe. You have the prettiest smile and the biggest blue eyes that melt my heart with your cute little dimples and the cute gap between your two top teeth. You are now just gaining an attitude of I don't wnat too's which is completely fine. It makes you a little sassy and I love that about you. You know what you want and dang right how to get to it. You love giving hugs and kisses. You are walking across furniture, but you are not walking yet. Your words that you are saying is mama, daddy, dad, ya, uh oh and a word that sounds like "what's that".
You have been the light of our world since December 11th 2007 when we found out we were pregnant with a little baby then on April 11th, 2008 we found out it'd be a little baby girl. I knew what I wanted to name you from that very day. You have become that everything we've needed in life. You've taught us what true happiness is that nothing else matters in this world when I have you and your dad to look at each day. You are my sweet daughter that I look forward to growing closer and closer to you as your grow up. I look forward to watching you continue to grow and learn new things each day. You make me a better person. You complete me. You make me happy. You make me thank my Heavenly Father for letting me be your mother. There's nothing better in life then being a mother. Thank you for being that everything I've needed in life. For wanting to make me a better person. For being so sweet and sassy. For teaching me patience. For choosing me as your mom. You are the blessing from our Heavenly Father that we've wanted and needed. Thanks for being ALL MINE Bri.
I love you so much and think the world of you. I'm thankful we're a family, that we have one another and that we'll be together for ETERNITY.
We love you sweetheart.

BriLeYs 13 MoNtH PhoTo ShOOt
Briley had her 13 month photoshoot today. I think her pictures turned out awesome. Our appointment was for noon and she just cried and cried so we rescheduled to go back. So we took a walk and went and grabbed some lunch then I had my mom come and meet me to help me out with her hoping that would help once we went back and she still had a hard time since it was right in the middle of her nap time, but I think we got some pretty dang good shots. These are just a few of my many favorites. She's growing up so dang fast and growing up to be such a pretty little girl. These pictures mean a lot to me especially the ones in the black jacket because before Briley was born I've been waiting till this coat would fit her because it's my great great grandmothers coat that she wore when she was a baby girl. I will cherish those photos especially due to the sentimental value it has deep down. The cowgirl photos and the older fashioned photos are darling I must say as well. You're too damn cute Bri. I love you so much and I'm so grateful that you're mine. :)
Love you sweetheart
